First Color Photographs of China, 1912 Albert Kahn
Posted by rod - 13.12.2012These images are most-probably the first Colour Photographs of China, taken in 1912 by Albert Kahn. “In 1909 the millionaire French banker and philanthropist Albert Kahn embarked on an ambitious project to create a colour photographic record of, and for, the peoples of the world.” Throughout the years Kahn took 72000 pictures, which were until recently relatively unheard of.
